What Accessible Living Really Means

Accessible housing (including wheelchair accessible housing) is typically defined by a set of compliance checklists. Wider doorways, assistive technology, space for turning circles, and so on. For us that’s a starting point; we go further.

Accessible living, done well, is about control, comfort and dignity in everyday life:

  • The ability to move freely and safely throughout your home.
  • Spaces that support privacy and independence, not reliance on carers at your side.
  • Technology and design working quietly in the background.
  • A home that feels like your space, not a clinical/care environment.

Our homes are designed so that Participants can control light, airflow, privacy and movement, with layouts that support both independence and the practical realities of daily support.
