On Track: Ceiling Hoist Prescription in SDA

Join us for this practical CPD education session, delivered by Unicare, designed for Occupational Therapists working with NDIS participants in Specialist Disability Accommodation.

This hands-on CPD session will focus on ceiling hoist prescription in SDA settings, a topic that comes up constantly for OTs working with NDIS participants who have complex mobility and transfer needs.

• Understand the role and functional benefits of ceiling hoist systems within SDA and high-support living environments.
• Explore different ceiling hoist configurations, track designs, and transfer applications.
• Strengthen clinical reasoning skills when prescribing ceiling hoist systems, considering participant mobility, transfer needs, caregiver support, environmental layout, and long-term functional outcomes.
