At Sana Living, we offer a range of independent and shared disability housing options throughout WA, SA and Queensland.
Before Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) was introduced and funded by the NDIS, accessible accommodation was limited for those living with a disability, often compromising independence, comfort and control. Choice of where and how people lived was rarely an option.
Our Range of Disability Houses for Rent
Sana Living’s specialist disability housing is designed to change that. Our homes are so much more than a place to live. Our disability housing increases the range of accessible housing, improves the standard of accommodation and changes the way people with a disability live. Offering choice remains our number one priority.

Frequently Asked Questions on Disability Housing
Yes, there are several housing support options available through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
1. Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
If you have very high support needs, the NDIS may fund specialist housing, which is designed specifically for people with extreme functional impairments.
At Sana Living, we offer a range of sole occupancy and shared homes, apartments, or villas – each appointed to a high standard and featuring the latest assistive technology.
2. Supported Independent Living (SIL)
The NDIS may fund Supported Independent Living (SIL) for individuals who require assistance with daily tasks.
SIL is different from SDA in that it covers the cost of the support staff, rather than the cost of the home itself.
(Please note that Sana Living are not a SIL provider; we are an accommodation provider).
3. Home modifications
If you’re living at home but need changes to improve accessibility (such as ramps, rails, or bathroom upgrades), the NDIS can fund home modifications as part of your plan.
(Please note that Sana Living do not offer home modifications).
4. Assistance with finding a suitable home
NDIS can also provide a support coordinator to help you find a home that meets your needs.
Outside of the NDIS, you may also be eligible for other government and community supports.
Yes, the NDIS can provide funding to help individuals live safely and independently in a home they own.
It aims to ensure people have access to suitable housing that supports their needs, regardless of whether they own or rent.
The NDIS website will provide further information on eligibility, available supports, and how to access these services.
(Please note that Sana Living do not provide disability supports; we are a specailist accommodation provider only).
Yes, two people on disability can absolutely live together – so long as both individuals are comfortable with the arrangement and their needs are met.
In some cases, the NDIS may fund shared living options such as Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).
Should two individuals choose to share a bedroom, the NDIS will assess the arrangement to ensure it meets the support needs of each individual and doesn’t pose any risks.
The NDIS website will provide further information on eligibility, available supports, and how to access these services.
Yes, all Sana Living homes include disabled parking to ensure residents with mobility needs have easy access to their homes.
However, while all homes include disabled parking, the exact setup may vary depending on the location and building type (for example apartments have different parking arrangements from independent villas).
